I bought the discount coupons and thought I would try out the Kona Cleaners delivery service. I put 8 shirts for laundry and 1 grey wool suit pant for dry cleaning in the purple bag. They picked it up, but then subsequently only returned the 8 shirts. The suit pants never came back, so now I have an expensive suit I can't wear. I cannot trust their system or their service, and I am out of luck on ever getting my clothes back. We purchased a second home last Spring, and after trying a couple other cleaners and not being 100% happy, I thought I would try Kona. The girl @ the front counter was extremely friendly, welcomed me to the area and went above and beyond in customer service. Checking for any stains, buttons missing etc. I have had to adjust to Newport Beach prices, as laundry and dry cleaning in Dallas, Texas are 1/3 or 1/2 of what pricing is here! I am a new customer at a brand new location of Kona Cleaners. When I dropped off my order I asked if they would honor a competitor's coupon and I was told when I pick up the order then I would be able to speak with the owner and they would honor my coupon.When I returned on the day my order was promised, not only was I told that my coupon would not be honored and that it was impossible that they would ever suggest such a thing. Hello, I recently bought a new suit and brought it into you guys to have it hemmed and some suspender buttons put on. I picked it up on 10/24/14 to find out that the buttons were not "evenly" spaced and the "hem" (bottom of the pants) hand not been ironed on one side. I dropped off a skirt, men's collared shirt, and a dress. On a Saturday, I dropped by when it was supposed to be ready and the "system" was down so they could not locate my stuff and they told me to come back. I went back a few days later. I picked up my skirt and men's collared shirt, however, I asked them to re-iron my dress because it was still very wrinkled. When I got home, I realized that the skirt was still wrinkled also. This was my first & will be my last time visiting. I wanted to dry clean a white dress shirt which I'm planning to wear for my sister's wedding. This dress shirt was straight out of the plastic protective packaging. It has never been worn. After receiving it & inspecting it (without trying it on) from Aloha cleaners I noticed a yellowish-brownish stain about the size of a tear drop on the front area of the shirt. Unfortunately , my experience was not good. I called and asked if Kona would re-tic a down pillow for me ( put a new case on my feather pillow). I brought it to the store and Maria took it in and said it would take a cour of weeks. I said ok , since I was going on a trip and wouldn't need it. When I returned 2 1/2 weeks later , went to the store to find out they had no idea what I was talking about. Very disappointed that they couldn't help me.
I love my Kona Cleaners! Been with them since they opened here in Huntington Beach! Josseline consistently greets me by name and always with her fabulous smile. Despite having list a couple pieces of cleaning, she seemingly works miracles, almost always tracking them down. If cleaning is not to her satisfaction, she's on it before the OCD in me has a chance to mention it.
