I sent a bridesmaid dress to be altered. They said it would be done in a week, but that they'd email or call me when it was ready. I wait two weeks and nothing, so I go in to check. I'd like to give them about a 3 1/2 or 4 because I brought in two items at the same time and the young woman concerned me for a little while because she couldn't find one of them--she finally found it. Other than that the place seemed to be mostly OK I guess.
I brought several pieces in. I was charged for an extra item. Manager said he would refund but never did. One of the dresses I brought was not cleaned well. Will not be returning.
I had a difficult paint stain to get out of a very expensive jacket. I dropped off my jacket for a consultation to see if treating it would damage the jacket in any way as I was worried that the jacket would either be ruined and I'd have to pay the cost anyway, or that the stain was not removable and I'd eat the cost of dry cleaning. Don’t be fooled by the name, this cleaner is not “dependable.” My washer/dryer recently broke mid-wash, so after doing some research and seeing the great reviews online, I dropped 2 loads of laundry off for the wash and fold service. When I went to pick up my clothes, I waited for nearly an hour, as they were unable to find my laundry anywhere in their back room. As you know I was unhappy about the job you did on the bedspread - I have been a loyal customer since the day you opened - if you credit that $30 I’ll be happy to do business with you again. I like you all and you’re convenient to my home.
I brought in three pairs of pants: each needing a hem, one needing a zipper, and one needing a touch-up around the seam of the pockets. I wasn't given a receipt, and the prices are not listed on the site, but it wound up costing $93. Looking at the average costs in New England for tailoring and alterations, a hem should be about $15, a zipper about $20. I went to get a dress tailored, asking for the front and back to be hemmed and for the top to be taken in as well. When I got the dress only the front was done. When looking at the dress I knew something was wrong. Once I put the dress on I could tell it was uneven and not done well at all. When I brought the dress to another tailor, he said the seams were uneven and the stitching was awful. I do not recommend going to this location.
