Brothers Cleaners was originally founded in Raleigh in 1916 by Emil Hilker, a German immigrant. Emil’s twin son’s, Jerry and Jim Hilker assumed ownership of the business after his retirement and ran it successfully until the mid 1970’s, when they went their separate business ways. At that point, the business was handed over to our current owners, twins Tom and Bob Hilker, the third generation to continue their family legacy. Tom and Bob have been working for almost 40 years to keep Brothers Cleaners level with changing dry c... read more

When I asked Brothers Cleaners to clean my coat, I was told that it would cost approximately $40.00; then I asked if the tailor could repair a spot on the back slit. I was told that would be $10.00. I could not imagine that the bill was $66.32. When I picked up the coat today, I commented about the excessive cost. After some time, the lady at the front said that she would deduct $10.00. Thus, I had to pay $55.00. We have used Brothers Cleaners since 1978! The location at Falls of the Neuse was convenient for us, and... read more
Clothes where not completely cleaned, returned with spots. Clothes where not pressed well!
1. I paid for a jacket to be cleaned only to be told that they couldn't clean it...then what did I pay for? 2. My jacket was ruined and I was told that it could be redone, but I would need to pay first. Are you serious! So, I should pay you for ruining my jacket? There was a white film all over my royal blue jacket. It almost looked as if it was placed in a washing machine. I'm so disappointed that I'll lose a favorite clothing item and upset that I'll have to pay for having it ruined.
The service was great but it was 3x as expensive as my regular cleaner. For a long cotton dress I was charged $17. I would not recommend as the service was the same as other cleaners and the prices are exorbitant.
Clothes were clean but prices way too high. I won't be returning.
It was my first time picking up cleaning from Brothers. I asked about the prices, which were higher than what I saw on the website. The girl who helped me was clearly irritated by my questions and was very short with me. The cleaners my husband has used for 20 years has gone out of business and I thought we were going to move his business to Brothers but I am not sure now.
Nothing you can do. You ruined two dress shirts in two months and didn't offer any solution but to blame me. Will find a new cleaners and encourage others to look elsewhere.
overpriced and my clothes never seem as though they've been cleaned. every single time, they attach the tag with some sort of reason as to why "this was the best" they could do. never do I have this problem at any other dry cleaner. I will return to Jin's in five points, even though it's out of my way.
It was ok. Shirts pressed as expected. I received a coupon via email for bedding on April 1st just before I was picking up my comforter. Didn't honor that coupon because I had "dropped it off before the day." He told me this as I was spending $75 on my dry cleaning. That seems a little nit-picky for someone bringing in that much business. The first time I brought in my shirts, one was lost. They found it. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend, but the convenience factor being close to my house keeps me go... read more
