I used Pilgrims regularly in the past. I was always satisfied. The quality was good and the price competitive. My work requirements changed changing my cleaning needs. I had accumulated a large order that I picked up this last time. The charges for normal laundry and dry cleaning of 20 items was $92. That price is close to twice my expectations. I won’t be back as long as these prices prevail!
If i could give this place negative stars i would! They lost a second Lilly Pulitzer Dress this week of mine. I should say supposedly lost bc even the lady Esther said under her breathe it could have been stolen. Well after she tried to give me a credit of $75 i said no way i want a check. Well my check was supposed to be there today. My husband went by and Esther had a nasty attitude about it not being in yet as if it's our fault this happened. You lost 3 things of mine and all high end items! I think you are thieves! Horrible cleaners
Shirt promised per dry cleaner slip at 6:00 pm Tuesday. I arrived 6:35 Tuesday to hear my item did not make it on the truck.
When coming to the store I asked for a price chart. No price chart available. The lady told me that each piece of dry cleaning will be $2.80 or so. Well, for 19 pieces I was billed 124. When I asked why, I was informed well you had white blouses that is automatically $1 extra to keep it white and if there were materials such as silk or wool that was extra as well. No prices published, I asked the gentlemen who took my clothes how much it would be and he told me there was no way for him to know, when I arrived to pick up my clothes it came to $97.00 which is insane, my normal cleaners is around 45 for the same service and amount of clothes. Never again.
The Dry Clean was good and Basic creases were good. But, I had requested "Military Style" creases on the shirts. We had a short discussion regarding this service request, I was told it would be done with excellence. Serving 20+ years in the Marine Corps I do expect excellence, especially when it is understood at the time of request. Maybe better results next time, if there is one.
Prices were high and the company does not carry change for $100. Poor business practices and the manager has a sour attitude. The poor girl who helped me tried to be as sweet as can be, but was limited due to poor management. We will not be back.
Military member. Had white stains covering a majority of my uniform( I’m assuming from the starch). Also didn’t press collar the way I instructed.
