I had 3 different calls from this company ...first one was to tell me that i owed more money than i had filled out on my sheet (that went with my dress). I then get a call to tell again that i owed money...not the correct Amount. Then they call me to tell me that my card was declined. When i called back to ask which card was declined so i could give her a different one. she informed me that they had shredded my form i sent them with the card number on it. I sent the dress for a total of 3 times. By the last time I got tired of sending it. I don't know if it's the company or not but the dress we received crooked, unironed, stuffing coming out and the inside of the box was crushed. They were nice to attempt to fix it but don't think it was properly secured which is something that needs to be looked at.
The idea is great and I really wanted this, but after letting fix the mistakes a few times the dress looks nice but isn't centered in the box. Nothing moves so it's clearly and error in packing. The 1st time I sent it beads were missing and the parts of my dress were folded, the 2nd time same issues but the dress was now not centered in view. This last time they made a huge effort even sending pics of it after cleaning before boxing and it looked lovely. I'm still just upset that is uncenterd in the box. I can only see about... read more
I sent my gown and veil in to be preserved. I purchased the preservation kit when I purchased my dress. I asked that my veil be preserved separately and paid a small fee for this. I received a phone call from a very confused person named Priscilla. I tried to explain that I wanted them preserved separately and she took this to mean that I wanted the veil preserved in a cardboard box from staples. The dress looks good through the box, however, I really have no way to fully inspect the dress since I believe I am supposed to leave the dress in the box and packing to preserve the dress.
I'm still waiting for my dress to arrive undamaged. David's Bridal said they were shipping it back to you on their dime this time because my box was damaged. They gave me no receipt of any kind this time either. Will I ever see my dress again?? This was really important to me.
The gown appears to be clean, however, there is a piece of cardboard that hangs down into the viewing window and the dress appears to be much lower in the box than it should be, if that makes any sense. I would not recommend this particular company to any of my friends or family.
I am happy that my dress is preserved and will not yellow for 30 years. However, the overall presentation looks nothing like they advertise at David's Bridal. The box looks very cheap and is dented. It is wrapped in shrink wrap that is completely wrinkled, and the bottom of the dress is mashed in there which looks terrible. It's preserved, but that's the only reason they get these two stars out of me.
My daughter's gown preservation kit was purchased through David's Bridal. I upgraded to the Premier Restoration Process in addition to increasing the insurance value to equal the gown's value. Besides the gown, I shipped her crystal belt and crystal edged veil. I paid an extra $125.00 dollars on top of the purchase price of the kit. On the order form I clearly wrote to have the crystal belt tied around the waist of the dress.
