Shirts were not ready next day as promised, had to drive to Orange (in rush hour traffic) to pick them up so I could get them back in time for job interviews. The Costa Mesa store worker offered no apology or helpful solution, just that she could see the order should have been complete but it was not, she charged me full price ($16) for my pants. The worker in Orange was much kinder and apologized profusely, I was comped the cost of the shirts ($6) but it cost me over an hour of unexpected driving at the peak of traffic. If ... read more
After dropping off laundry Monday of last week, I was promised it would take a week, but would be delivered yesterday. We even checked to make sure the driver could leave extra bags as we were new clients. I have no idea who has our laundry now, but it's not us. No one ever showed up at the house.
My first experience with Kona and their prices are way out of line. I had 10 dry-clean items and 26 shirts. Even with a coupon for 10% my bill was $140.63. Shirts are no more than $1.85 at the most expensive place ($1.66 w/coupon). $40 for shirts. Average charge for drycleaning $10 per item ($11 before discount). Mostly trousers and blouses. No silk fancies or specialty items. Never going back there again.
The service was good, very timely (being same day). However, when I went to pick up my item, they wouldn't allow me to use a discount card I had (saying I had to have presented it ahead of time when dropping off my item.) How would I have known that?
Asked for a Permanent crease be applied for my new Umpire pants. Was not done. It is very important to me to look my best when I enter the field. Sharp looking appearance is a first impression that counts.
Would not take the coupon that was emailed to me and their computer was down so they couldn't find my jacket.
A nice man came over to our house even though we do have a "no soliciting" sign, and although it was inconvenient during out infant's bath time, he explained some specials and to come on by. He was nice enough, as normally I would not be as accommodating since our door mat does say "GO AWAY", and the super obvious "NO SOLICITING" SIGN?!?! Well today I needed to wash a sleeping bag that did not fit in our home washer. So I went to your establishment and found out it would be $49 FREEKING DOLLARS, AND THREE DAYS, to wash a sin... read more
Jerry was very rude and called me a liar on 3 accounts. 1: Denied that $5 off $10 coupon that was given to me even existed. (Coupon was accepted by another employee when order was dropped off) 2: Would not honor a cash credit in excess of $45 dollars on the grounds that "he worked hard" on clothing that was still very much stained. 3: Claimed that said stains were "Very old" when the jackets themselves were only 3 months old and the stains only a few days. Another note, 2 out of 2 orders handled by these cleaners were late. ... read more
I thought they would remove the pilling on my coat (I asked) but nothing was done unfortunately. Coat was cleaned nicely.
