Brothers Cleaners was originally founded in Raleigh in 1916 by Emil Hilker, a German immigrant. Emil’s twin son’s, Jerry and Jim Hilker assumed ownership of the business after his retirement and ran it successfully until the mid 1970’s, when they went their separate business ways. My coverlet was promised at 5:30, 5/10 which is when I arrived. I was told by the girl in front (young, blonde hair, moderately overweight) that it was not ready. The quality isn't worth the price.
All of my experiences prior to the last one have been great. During my last trip to Brothers, there was an older lady at the counter that I had not seen previously. I had some questions about my order including the cost. While she was assisting me, someone came to the drive-thru. She stopped helping me and went to assist the other person. Prices for dry cleaning are much too high.
Poor customer service. It’s very tough to communicate with these people. No response to online request for pickup-delivery sign up for over 2 months. No replies to the email sent using ‘message manager’ option. The staff at the store had no idea how their service works. The coupon was picked up but not reflected in the invoice. We gave 43 pieces of cleaning and stressed that be are we disabled that we needed it delivered to our apartment. It was delivered downstairs at an office. In addition 3 pieces are missing
I did notify Josiah. I phoned him and gave him specific directions. I was told he goes this way Mon and Thurs. He said the latest he would be by here is 1:30 pm. I put the clothes out at 7:30 a.m. At the end of the day, they were still there. I brought them inside, phoned him and left a message. I put a note in with the clothes letting you know I am allergic to scents. I want to know from you if you cannot now do clothes without adding perfume. Just let me know and we will, in friendliness part ways.
The staff is apathetic at best. They don’t give a damn at all. If you’re a repeat customer and get a discount coupon, they never tell you it’s available and only on your request use it. Customer service is soooo bad, we’re considering moving to a competitor. The quality of the service is not an issue here.
When people include coupons in their bags of laundry, those coupons need to be properly credited to the account. More than half the time, coupons are ignored or forgotten and it requires a call to get it right. In my last load of clothing, I had a 40% coupon which was not applied, I sent an email immediately, and I have heard nothing back.
