Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. Brought in a comforter. Came back a few days later and there was a big sign that all blankets were cleaned for $19.33 in December. Since I had taken it in November I paid $32. It would have been nice if the person had said if I could wait a few days the cleaning would be on sale. Would have just been a nice gesture.
