Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. This review, if possible, needs to be shared with Tony: I have only a brief history with your business, over 25 years. My first experience with Walden’s was with a No-Nonsense person that indicated that he was the Owner and what could he do to help? I explained that I was just out of Grad school, new to my job, and needed, IF possible to run a tab for a couple of weeks? you get paid, come and pay me! For years we have trusted Walden Cleaners in the spring to dry cleanour king sized winter comforter. As always it was a great job. Done on time, with care and at a very reasonable price.
