Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. Had a very special heirloom quilt cleaned that had been in storage for three years. It was ready a day earlier than expected. I haven’t unwrapped it yet but there wasn’t a note about any kind of spot that didn’t come out. It was very affordable also.
