Although not officially incorporated until 1957, Comet Cleaner’s history dates all the way back to the 1920’s where founder R.L. “Jack” Godfrey opened his first dry cleaning store. Comet Cleaners has remained in the Godfrey family ever since, with Jack Godfrey, Jr. becoming the third generation to own and operate the franchise.

Great and fast service. I like to take clothes to Comet Cleaners at Hardin, McKinney for dry clean, wash and starch. They texted me when my clothes were ready to pick up.
Staff is always super friendly and kind. Prices are good, especially for the quality you receive. Everything is always spotless and never any lint or sign of our dog's hair, even on all black clothing. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

Everyone who works there is so kind and helpful. My items are always PERFECT when I pick them up! We have a dog, and at the Dry Cleaners we used to use I'd still have to use a lint brush after it was "cleaned", especially on Black clothing. That's never been the case at Comet Cleaners. Give them a try! You won't regret it!
I brought in my old letter jacket to be cleaned. It had a lot of stains and the vinyl sleeves were sticky. Y'all did a fabulous job stains were removed beyond what i could have hoped for and the sleeves were mo longer sticky. Thank you so much.
