Although not officially incorporated until 1957, Comet Cleaner’s history dates all the way back to the 1920’s where founder R.L. “Jack” Godfrey opened his first dry cleaning store. Comet Cleaners has remained in the Godfrey family ever since, with Jack Godfrey, Jr. becoming the third generation to own and operate the franchise.

Comet Cleaners always does a great job on our marching band uniform! We ended up needing a quick turn around and when I called at noon, was given a pick up time of the next day after 5p. When I dropped it off, they were able to move up the pick up time to 10am! That meant we would make our turn in deadline with room to spare! Thanks so much for your friendly, fast service!!

Comet Is A Little More Expensive Than The Other Place Close By, But It Is Worth Every Penny! You DO Get What You Pay For, And a Bargain Usually Means Steps Are Missed, Or Customer Service Is Lacking. Comet Cleaners Excels At It All. We Are Very Happy, And We Will Never Switch To Another!

We found a new home with Comet, mostly due to your friendly, and accommodating staff! My husband had surgery and we aren’t bringing in his jeans, but we will be back, as soon as he is mobile again. I’m embarrassed I do not remember, the names of the ladies who assisted me. Same, am staff, very helpful. Also evening staff was friendly and helpful! Patricia Settle
