Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. As always, redundancy is a state of art, the experience has redefined my life. In all seriousness and sincerity, there is only one cleaners in Norman that is worth repeated visitation, that is Walden’s!!!

I took my clothes in last Friday. The people asked if they could delay delivery until Tuesday, which is unusual for Walden’s. I had an unusual request too. I only had one pair of pants. However there was a big ink stain on the front. So I said, “Let’s make it Wednesday.” So it was Wednesday. I was delayed due to business, so I picked the slacks up on Thursday. Walden’s did a great job. Very pleased with their work.
