Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. Usually great, but I have a note in my online file since 2005 about needing each piece bagged separately and my request was not accommodated this go-‘round.

Beautifully organized drop-off and pick-up! This was a very big order, of sofa and armchair slipcovers, all very much in need of cleaning and refreshing. All pieces were individually folded and hung on hangers, so reinstalling was easy, without confusion! I am very impressed, as always, with the care and attention my things received from Walden’s Cleaners! The best, anywhere!
