Generally dry cleaning is very well done. I was quite pleased once when I noticed a button missing on my shirt had been neatly replaced without my asking about it. However, I have just noticed that one of my shirts, which has some delicate lace on the shoulders, has been damaged. (Not sent in this most recent time.) As it has only ever been dry cleaned by Tide (I have never so much as hand l-washed it myself, though maybe I will after this), the damage necessarily must have happened during dry cleaning.
