Joe Jacobs Sr. built Dandy Cleaners in 1955 then later sold the store to Margaret Smith. She owned Dandy until 1967 when Kenneth Hill bought it. Mr. Hill owned and operated the store for 35 years until his retirement in February 2003. Larry Hill, his son, who had worked with his father since 1978 is now the owner. Dandy Cleaners has been an active supporter of the local community. We provide cleaning for area schools as well as many of the local churches, police officers, race teams and businesses. I would recommend this cleaners to everyone. I like honesty. The front counter lady got the manager, after I showed her this big spot on my outfit that I was planning to wear to my granddaughter’s wedding. He came out of the back with it in his hands and said, I would have to be very careful and use a very light cleaner on the item because of it’s gold color and sparkling glitter like components.
