Brothers Cleaners was originally founded in Raleigh in 1916 by Emil Hilker, a German immigrant. Emil’s twin son’s, Jerry and Jim Hilker assumed ownership of the business after his retirement and ran it successfully until the mid 1970’s, when they went their separate business ways. At that point, the business was handed over to our current owners, twins Tom and Bob Hilker, the third generation to continue their family legacy. Not good for rugs but great for bending.
I think for the most part Brothers Cleaners does a very good job w/dry cleaning and the basics. However, there's been more than one occasion when they have lost buttons on a blazer which caused further delays. Also the prices are a bit tad high & steep. $6.95 for a shirt?!?!?!? ....too high
We are loyal to Brothers Cleaners because of our experience with Larry Barlow. He's dependable, efficient, and exceptionally kind. He's one of our dogs' favorite people too. They're always excited to see him. He takes a personal interest in them and he spoils them with treats! Of course, we're also exceptionally pleased with the quality of the service. I have been a Brothers customer for more than 15 years. The service is friendly and efficient at all locations. I have been on a pick/delivery route at work for more than 10 years. What a convenience!! Never lost an article of clothing; never missed a delivery. Highly recommended to anyone.

I am growing frustrated with the number of items that have been misplaced over the last few years. I love the service ..it is extremely convenient but I've had at least 3-4 Incidences where they have had track down my clothes. There was only one time where the item could not be found. But still frustrating. The dress was a seasonal dress and is no longer available. Which is even more frustrating.
