Brothers Cleaners was originally founded in Raleigh in 1916 by Emil Hilker, a German immigrant. Emil’s twin son’s, Jerry and Jim Hilker assumed ownership of the business after his retirement and ran it successfully until the mid 1970’s, when they went their separate business ways. At that point, the business was handed over to our current owners, twins Tom and Bob Hilker, the third generation to continue their family legacy. Easy breezy
I have been using Brothers Cleaners to clean clothing, drapes and household items after a mold impact in our home. I have been amazed and grateful that there is no odor in the items after they are cleaned. They just smell nice and clean, and all the mold toxins are gone. The drapes were tested for mold after the cleaning. Recently one of our chair cushions got a stain and I dropped it off at Brothers.
