Brothers Cleaners was originally founded in Raleigh in 1916 by Emil Hilker, a German immigrant. Emil’s twin son’s, Jerry and Jim Hilker assumed ownership of the business after his retirement and ran it successfully until the mid 1970’s, when they went their separate business ways. At that point, the business was handed over to our current owners, twins Tom and Bob Hilker, the third generation to continue their family legacy. Tom and Bob have been working for almost 40 years to keep Brothers Cleaners level with changing dry c... read more

I was given a price when I dropped rugs off and when I picked rugs up, the price was $130 more. So-called manager thought telling me that employees who serviced me no longer worked there and that one was a new hire would explain the discrepancy. She also thought telling me that she'll discount one rug would make me feel better when the price was still more than what I was told when I dropped rugs off. And, when I showed my receipt, there was no price on it, which made it even worse.
The last couple of times I picked my sweaters up from your establishment, I had to question whether or not they were dry cleaned. Not only were they pilly (even a new sweater), but there were still traces of hair, feathers, lint, etc., on the sweaters. No one called me, and then I received an email saying my jacket was ready. When I went to pick it up, the people there said that it had only been cleaned as far as they knew. If I had known that no one was going to contact me, I wouldn't hav... read more

I did in a previous survey about 3 weeks ago and never heard back from anyone. If you want no customer service and enjoy having your clothes go missing and never found, Brothers at North Hills is the place to go. I'm willing to go to another dry cleaners further away and without a drive through to avoid this place. Too bad as I spent a lot of money there. Thought about using my work teams to use Brothers a while ago, but decided to go another route. Not sure anyone will read this or respond so I'm not sure why you're sending... read more
Too expensive, especially for pants.
Lost my suit, asked for weeks, only received one call back after multiple attempts. Aggie is good and I like her. While looking for my suit they found multiple another garments. Never knew they were gone and why would this happen? Thankfully Brothers reimbursed me for the suit. But to add insult, I never got my pants back that belonged to the lost suit jacket. Not good, again. But due to the reimbursement of the full suit that's fine you just confirmed my feeling about Brothers. Sometimes when the employees are busy in the d... read more
