I will start with the good, but will not go back. The cleaning was wonderful from what I see. (We have not really taken all out of plastic yet as we want it nice for wedding Saturday). The young girl at the counter was very sweet. With that being said, I was beyond shocked as were others at the bill. There is another local dry cleaners that my husband takes his legion uniforms to, but my Mother had always used Balfurds in the past so we gave it a try. PROBABLY WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! Our core values are supporting the community in donations, paying our staff a fair and living wage plus benefits, and offering the absolute best service--all of these things influence our pricing. Our costs are much higher since we clean all the clothing in State College (with it's high rents, utilities, taxes and wages) vs sending it to Clearfield like the other cleaner in town. Clothes were fine, I find it ridiculous that you don't take cash. I will be taking my dry cleaning elsewhere.
Dropped off shirt at S Atherton location and shirt was returned to N Atherton location, very inconvenient to have to run between stores to pickup my order. New hours at S Atherton location (opening at 9 vs 7) are inconvenient for people who work 8-5.
Sent Down bedspread & returned very wrinkled. The spread had been dry cleaned by previous cleaners & we never experienced this problem before! I did call Balfurd’s as soon as the spread was returned & I was informed a DOOVER can be done. But I do not want it returned in worse shape than I sent it! Thanks for letting me tell of negative experience.

Not a very good job! The spot was removed but the pants were not pressed right. Wrinkles all over !
My clothing was lost and took months to be found. I set up a business account when the clothing was dropped off only to be charged full price when I picked up the clothing. The clothing came back eventually to the opposite store where I dropped it off and was slightly wrinkled (I assume from being there so long). I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.
I pay for the VIP service where I should get my clothes back same day. In the last 5 months on 4 occasions I’ve dropped my clothes off by 8am and when I go to pick them up they are not at the S Atherton location and then I need to drive over to N Atherton. This never happened to me in the previous 6 yrs but now I’m never sure if my clothes will be there or not when I show up to pick them up
