Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. They take care of me! I can not get my laundry done. I’ve had 8 eye surgeries and an open ( bones out) double break of my right wrist and hand. So I can’t get it done. E can never thank them enough to keep it affordable for me!

I had dropped off 6 pairs of jeans and asked for Medium starch. When I picked them up, I felt something was off but didn’t discover what it was til I got home and checked my receipts. The jeans were pressed but no starch. This is the first time I’ve been disappointed in more than 30 years using Waldens. Of course, I’ll continue to us them because overall, they have a good track record.
