In 1925 Gassner joined with Benjamin Mellman and a third friend, Jacob Ritvoe, to incorporate French Dye Works at the location it currently sits today, 935 Farmington Ave. Today, French Cleaners is focused on servicing the loyal customer base and maintaining the high quality and impeccable service so many have come to expect.

Recently I was out of state when a beloved and expensive jacket became stained. Plenty of nearby dry cleaners but I trust French’s so much, based on several decades of experience, I decided to mail the jacket to them. My trust was rewarded! What a fabulous job they did. These people are amazing. I have used many different cleaners in many parts of the country and they are the best. I took in a special blouse I had bought in an outdoor market in Provence. It was stained and I was afraid to treat it. Now it is beautiful. Can’t wait to wear it again next summer. Thank you.
