Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. I’ve used dry cleaners in four different states over the past 45 years. None compare to Walden in care of garments, speed and courtesy. I couldn’t be more pleased. Walden is a treasure to Norman and central Oklahoma.

Walden Cleaners has proven to be fantastic. You are warmly greeted (by name if you are a regular) by a courteous, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The cleaners will take on stains and wrinkles which in my experience are invisible when you come to pick up your items. I can highly recommend Walden’s!!
