In November 2002, David and Sherry Whitehurst opened the first location of Champion Cleaners on Rocky Ridge Road in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Since then they have grown to three additional locations including Greystone on Highway 280, Calera and Crestline in Mountain Brook. In 2017, David & Sherry’s son, Mark, joined the business and assumed responsibilities as General Manager of Champion Cleaners.

I use dry cleaning 2 or 3 times a year. I’ve used Utopia for years and it’s been great. But the last two times my suit has come back with a strong chemical smell. I thought it was a one off thing in February, but it smelled the same way when I picked up this time. The suit is unwearable because the smell is so strong. I took to a different cleaners and they said it is not supposed to smell like that.
