Brothers Cleaners was originally founded in Raleigh in 1916 by Emil Hilker, a German immigrant. Emil’s twin son’s, Jerry and Jim Hilker assumed ownership of the business after his retirement and ran it successfully until the mid 1970’s, when they went their separate business ways. At that point, the business was handed over to our current owners, twins Tom and Bob Hilker, the third generation to continue their family legacy. I have enjoyed my experience working with Brothers Cleaners.
Everyone is kind and very professional! The dry cleaning is superb! They even get spots out that I hadn’t previously noticed! I’ve been having my clothes dry-cleaned for 50 years and Brothers is by far the best. I don’t get men’s shirts done any longer, but I wouldn’t hesitate to have Brothers clean any shirts! Brothers has always been here for me. They consistently washed and ironed and hung my shirts on hanger so they wouldn't wrinkle. I always looked good in shirts laundered by Brothers. They have cleaned area carpets, suede jackets, comforters, the list goes on. On occasion they've even altered pants and replaced buttons. They are my go to laundry. Just this past week Brothers altered a sport coat and cleaned it for me.
