Brothers Cleaners was originally founded in Raleigh in 1916 by Emil Hilker, a German immigrant. Emil’s twin son’s, Jerry and Jim Hilker assumed ownership of the business after his retirement and ran it successfully until the mid 1970’s, when they went their separate business ways. At that point, the business was handed over to our current owners, twins Tom and Bob Hilker, the third generation to continue their family legacy. Hi, I am a seasoned HS teacher and I have always liked to dress professional. I drive one hour and twenty minutes to meet with the amazing staff of Brothers Cleaners in the Atlantic Avenue site. Looking clean includes wearing clothes that have been carefully selected, separated to either be laundered or dry cleaned and pressed. Great service! I mistakenly thought Brothers opened at 7 am and was there at 7:15 Wednesday to find it closed. As I was leaving ,an employee was walking toward the entrance, who I stopped and asked if I could give her my cleaning, which was in one of your bags. Since you are my regular dry cleaners and my things were tagged, which she asked, she graciously said yes and saved me another trip.
No one is better, no one!!! Incredibly fast, great quality work, everyone is friendly and smiles!! Cindy is amazing, as is the whole team!
Mr. Jose, has done a remarkable job on the route. His pickups are consistently accurate on the assigned days. In addition, he responds to inquiries via text or telephone contacts efficiently and immediately.
I moved to Raleigh 33 years ago and Brothers has been the only dry cleaners i have used. Friendly personnel, above average results,. I am now retired and don’t use them as much but I would recommend them highly.
