Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. Our clothes were professionally cleaned and prepared for use. As usual, we were notified our clothes were ready prior to the original estimate. We have been customers of Walden Cleaners for decades and have been completely satisfied with their attitude and assistance in addition to the care thy give our clothes.

Walden Cleaners is a wonderful business. I was told to use them when I moved to Norman and have been very satisfied with them. Their staff greets me by name when I enter the door and my clothes are clean and well ironed. They even have sewn buttons on my shirts. They are EXCELLENT!!
