I sent to London Cleaners a designer sweater I had worn for the first time when I spattered vegetable soup across the front. Right in the middle. I held very little hope that the stain would be removed. I thought it was set permanently. Much to my shock and delight the sweater was returned with no sign of the stain. None. Looks brand new.
