In 1925 Gassner joined with Benjamin Mellman and a third friend, Jacob Ritvoe, to incorporate French Dye Works at the location it currently sits today, 935 Farmington Ave. Today, French Cleaners is focused on servicing the loyal customer base and maintaining the high quality and impeccable service so many have come to expect.

I’ve typically been very pleased by my experience but recently brought some shoes in for cleaning-was quoted $22 per pie but told that it could be more depending on the pair. I asked for a call if it would be more so o could decide if it was worth it or not. It turned out all of the shoes had to be sent away for cleaning (they were all suede) so it took a week longer than expected (I showed up and was told they wouldn’t be ready for another week) and then cost $40+ per shoe and several of the pairs didn’t seem any different ... read more
French Cleaners has wonderful service, all the employees have a customer service attitude, they are friendly, helpful and considerate. The clothes are done excellently. I have never had a problem with any aspect of their cleaning service. I highly recommend this establishment to everyone!

I have been a loyal customer for years! Left a couple of times for career opportunities, BUT never for disappointing Customer Service! French Cleaners’s is the Best! Always has been and always will be! I’m back! Love U guys!❤️🙏🏾👍

My daughter’s wedding gown looks beautiful! You did a wonderful job getting it clean as it is all delicate hand sewn lace and I had concerns. It looks as good as the day she put it on! Thank you.
