In November 2002, David and Sherry Whitehurst opened the first location of Champion Cleaners on Rocky Ridge Road in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Since then they have grown to three additional locations including Greystone on Highway 280, Calera and Crestline in Mountain Brook. In 2017, David & Sherry’s son, Mark, joined the business and assumed responsibilities as General Manager of Champion Cleaners.

There was a funny mix-up when I left a bed skirt to be cleaned. After several weeks, I asked for it and it couldn't be found. After about a month more, the manager gave me a check to replace it, which I did. Then a month later, it was found among some tablecloths. The manager called me and I was ready to pay for its cleaning and/or return the replacement money. Instead, they gave me back my item and didn't even charge for the cleaning.
