In November 2002, David and Sherry Whitehurst opened the first location of Champion Cleaners on Rocky Ridge Road in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Since then they have grown to three additional locations including Greystone on Highway 280, Calera and Crestline in Mountain Brook. In 2017, David & Sherry’s son, Mark, joined the business and assumed responsibilities as General Manager of Champion Cleaners.

Please ask your driver to ring my doorbell when returning laundry. On Thursday, June 10, 2021, he left some items on the doorknob and some on the ground in my vestibule. Had I not gone out to check my mail, I would not have known my laundry was there and it might have gotten soaked in the rain that came in the evening. Quality of work good but no one wore masks. A person came in and they had a mask but the man behind the counter didn’t nor did anyone else in the store. Consequently I will not go back.
As a so-called "wedding gown specialist", I expected better quality service, but I was highly disappointed. I took my dress in for a simple cleaning. When I picked it up, I noted that the broach had been removed, then replaced and misaligned. It was also missing jewels. The dress was still dirty, but now with new scuff marks on the train. We've used Champion for years. They are the best, in every way! Super friendly staff, completely reliable, clothes always ready on time, and quality of cleaning is excellent. Additionally, if they don't think they can do something, they will tell you--very knowledgeable about fabrics and the cleaning process. I also love that you can drop off for simple alterations-- repair hems, replace zippers, resew a seam, etc. Fast and reasonable!
The price for my table cloth doubled from the last time I was there (only a few weeks earlier) with no warning. Also, $44 to dry clean a table cloth is a lot when comparing other highly rated dry cleaners in the same area.
