Brothers Cleaners was originally founded in Raleigh in 1916 by Emil Hilker, a German immigrant. Emil’s twin son’s, Jerry and Jim Hilker assumed ownership of the business after his retirement and ran it successfully until the mid 1970’s, when they went their separate business ways. At that point, the business was handed over to our current owners, twins Tom and Bob Hilker, the third generation to continue their family legacy. Brothers always gives me a quick turnaround at a good price, always friendly service. In these trying times it’s good to support local businesses, and I’m glad to support them.
I had draperies hemmed and was very pleased with the quality and the price of their work. The lady was extremely nice and courteous. She was also careful about our contact during the quarantine period.

Bill, our driver is the Best! He leaves little treats for our dogs that they find. I don’t know how they know his schedule.. but the truly do! The little updates from brothers are interesting & fun to read. The owner’s are two of the nicest guys I’ve ever known.
