Brothers Cleaners was originally founded in Raleigh in 1916 by Emil Hilker, a German immigrant. Emil’s twin son’s, Jerry and Jim Hilker assumed ownership of the business after his retirement and ran it successfully until the mid 1970’s, when they went their separate business ways. At that point, the business was handed over to our current owners, twins Tom and Bob Hilker, the third generation to continue their family legacy. Brothers cleaners is A++ in my book. I have used their Atlantic Avenue location for years and always receive excellent service for both my dry cleaning and alterations. I've recently decided to try the free delivery/pickup. Excellent service there as well. They didnt miss a beat with picking up and drop off as expected. They are the only Master Dry Cleaner in town and their service is certainly the best!
I have used Brothers for years - weekly pick ups and drop offs at my home have been a lifesaver but recently had both my daughters wedding dresses preserved - Brothers was amazing - removed all the stains and then let the girls take one last peek - the staff was so kind and gracious!!
