Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. Quick, friendly, fair pricing. Pendleton blanket turned out nicely.
The girls were friendly and eager to please. The items they cleaned were returned in a pattern of fold that I requested due to their effective communication skills. I highly recommend Walden’s Cleaners on Highland!

As a long time customer of Walden’s I can attest to the efficiency and great service. I have taken as much a week’s worth of suits and shirts down to a small blanket. They have always kept perfect track of all of my items, performed any special requests like folded, hangars, etc , done a perfect job of cleaning and pressing, and delivered on time. If I had stained or damaged an item they were informative and helpful in looking for a solution. I’ll be with them until I stop needing clean clothes.
