Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. Walden’s has been our only dry cleaning service since we moved here in 1978. Referred by my hair dresser- Clark Collier - who also still does my hair too. When you find a great thing you just don’t leave. Walden’s has been great in every way!
