Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. We had 4 pairs of jeans medium starched, done perfectly and in the same day. But prices have gotten really expensive there. $40 for everything / $10 each…we will have to switch cleaners after a decade going there.

Jacket that was purchased in Spain came back like new.
My dad had just passed away,and I took a jacket that he wanted to be buried in to be cleaned. The jacket was ready next day at no charge. It’s nice to know that there are still businesses and people who still care about people. Great place to do business and great people.
