Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. I needed to have a uniform shirt prepared for a military funeral. I appreciated your getting it done the next day so I could leave the for the out-of-town funeral.
Walden Cleaners has proven to be fantastic. You are warmly greeted (by name if you are a regular) by a courteous, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The cleaners will take on stains and wrinkles which in my experience are invisible when you come to pick up your items. I can highly recommend Walden’s!!
