Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. I dropped a QUEEN size comforter off at Walden’s located at Highland Parkway on 2-29-24. The minute I walked in the door, I was greeted in a very friendly manner. The lady told me that the comforter may take two days to clean and dry. I needed it that day or at the latest, by the next day (3-1-24). However, I realized that it was there to be cleaned and I accepted the time frame. Much to my surprise, I was texted later that afternoon, that the comforter was ready to be picked up.
