Fred Walden worked at the store on Porter off and on from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he took a job in Texas until spring of 1969. In May of 1969 Fred Walden met his wife Carolyn Walden at Sonic on Lindsey Street. They were married in December and for the first few months Carolyn worked at another job but it wasn't long before she came to work at Waldens Cleaners. Walden’s is wonderful from making it so handy by coming to get my dry cleaning and bring it back when it’s done!! That alone is worth it but they do exceptionally great on my dry cleaning!!! Will continue to use them for years to come!!!

As any good wise guy will tell you, it’s important to always dress your best but that ain’t always easy when you gotta dig holes on occasion, as a part of your job ya know. Anyway, that’s why it’s great to have a cleaner you can count on to get the dirt out and that’ll offer you same day service in case you’s got a visit that needs paying later that day. Sure their shop is a bit off the beaten path, but discretion is a big plus in some jobs. Anyway, pay ‘em a visit with your cleaning needs, and tell ‘em Scar Belly sent you.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. They worked on my draperies so diligently when I had thought they might be a total loss. I’ve never received such professional and caring dry cleaning services as I have at Walden dry cleaners.
