I went to the Widmer’s dry cleaners in Madeira for the past three years. I will not use them anymore. On my last visit, I was charged $41 for 3 men’s dress shirts to be dry cleaned. This used to cost $15. When I asked why it is now $41, I was told Widmer’s now only cleans based on what is recommended in the garment tag, not on what the customer wants (I have had this issue in the past and they always reverted to dry cleaning how I asked). This new approach makes no sense and my business is going elsewhere.
This is THE Widmer’s to take your clothes to. The Kenwood and Harper’s Point locations were convenient for me, but unfortunately the quality suffered along with the friendliness from a few staff members. I have always enjoyed my visits at the Madeira Widmer’s and have never had issues. Hands down, best Widmer’s in the city by far!
I've been a loyal customer of Widmer's dry cleaning for more than 41 years. They did an amazing job preserving my wedding dress from over four decades ago. When I took it out last year to have it prepared to have it updated/redesigned. for my daughter's wedding, it was in pristine condition. There were just a few tiny yellow stains, which I brought back to Widmer's, and they removed them swiftly. Their customer service is outstanding, and the quality of their work is excellent.
I hadn’t used Widmer’s in a few years sinceI I retired & no longer wearing pressed shirts/slacks to work. I recently had my suit pants cleaned & pressed. The same friendly, quality service is still evident. Thank you Widmer’s.
