*CONSUMER BEWARE* I took my leopard print coat to Sheldon's Cleaners for cleaning. SMH. I asked the attendant at the counter if Sheldon's was able to clean my coat as it had Faux Fur around the wrists of the coat. The clerk assured me they would be able to clean it. The clerk asked if I wanted the belt (that went with the coat cleaned as well). I told her yes. She/clerk took the belt off the coat and hung it up with the coat. I use Sheldon Cleaners for the convenience of not having to clean and press my shirts myself. My routine is to drop off shirts on a Wednesday morning and get them back Friday. Imagine my surprise when I go to drop off my shirts today, and learn from your employee I won’t get them back until Monday. We went from a two day turnaround time to a five day turnaround time. This place is very convenient from my house, and so my husband and I have been there a number of times over the past couple of years. The cleaning has generally been fine, but the counter staff has been consistently rude, and uncommunicative. Last week my husband went in to have the zipper on a winter coat repaired. They gave him a price of $60 for the repair. He was told this morning that the coat was ready, but when he went in to pick it up he found that the zipper hadn't been fixed at all. I turned in some clothes to be cleaned, altered, and repaired. I was told my clothes would be ready in two weeks. They actually came back earlier. You'd think this would garner four or five stars, right? The problem is, NO ONE CALLED ME TO TELL ME MY THINGS CAME IN EARLY!! Some of the items I turned in were for a uniform I needed on Easter Sunday. And the price was just under $160!!! That's insane for the fact that they just held on to my items. Confident free pickup and drop off. On top of that they saved some very important pictures from family by checking all my pockets. If it wasn’t for them I would have no longer had those pictures
