I was disappointed. I dropped off two lap blankets and was told to come the next Thursday. I couldn't make Thursday so when I left work early to go the following Monday I was told one was supposed to already be back (but wasn't) and the other was due sometime that week. Sent 2 pairs of pants in to be hemmed 2in got them back and they were still the same length, were not hemmed. Took them back to be fixed, currently waiting to see if they do get hemmed.
Asked for 2 pair of pants to be lightly starched---- ended up with medium starch!!
The place consistently charges significantly more than other dry cleaners in the area. Even when presented with a coupon that should make pricing more competitive, the stated discount often forgotten to be applied to the final bill. I gave up and switched to a different place nearby that just has regular reasonable pricing.
I never like to give a bad review, however, I have had two unpleasant experiences with Pilgrim and it is still ongoing. I turned in two lap blankets to be cleaned almost 3 weeks ago. I was told they'd be ready the following Thursday. I wasn't able to pick them up then. I called early the following week, where I was told I couldn't be helped because they were with a customer so I was to call back. I was at work and really had no time to call back. The prices are inconsistent for the same item. One visit I was charged a cheaper price, then the next visit I was charged more. When I brought it to the clerk's attention she said it was wrong and opened the door and gave me $1 back. However, that was still incorrect compared to what I was charged the 1st time. Desk attendant was rude. I was trying to claim a coupon for a pickup and also happened to have a drop-off. The coupon was valid when I dropped off but had expired since then. She gave me a lot of attitude about having an expired coupon even though she agreed eventually that it was valid. Not sure it was necessary to argue her point since presumably it was listed on the initial invoice whether I had showed the coupon appropriately or not. I requested that my pants be hung by the waist and they were tagged that way as well. They were not hung by the waist. The pants are women's jersey pants that hold a crease when folded over the hanger. Thus the reason for the request.
I was definitely not pleased with my last experience at cleaners. Things have steadily declined in service over the last few months.
