Pilgrim cleaners on Stewart road in Galveston has always been hit or miss but lately it is a definite MISS and the customer service is disgraceful specifically with one woman in particular. The woman never ask about starch amount for shirts, stain removal from any items...she just counted the items and stuffed them in a bag. I signed up for a locker and the last 2 times I've come in my order wasn't in my locker. It's very disturbing to me that it's not how it was told to me when I signed up.
You are a professional dry cleaning service and couldn't get the glue off the jacket. Alterations recommended dry cleaning.
I quit goinng to the pilgrims in Friendswood years ago because you never kn re when you would get go out clothes. So I tried again for the first time in at least 5 years, and again it took 5 days to get 4 shirts and 6 to get the other 3. Even with memorial day in there, that is crazy. I will not return.
There were stains left on at least 3 of my garments that were not there prior to drop off. A pleated dress had lost most of its pleats and did not flow like it previously did. I've already left a comment and no one contacted me, I will have to find another dry cleaners.
The attendant, who came from some other store, gave me a hard time when I told her I wanted silk shirts laundered and not dry cleaned. She insisted it was store policy (apparently at the other facility) only to dry clean silk. My shirts are tough fabrics sold by Costco which I have frequently had successfully laundered at Pilgrim, sometimes after signing a release exonerating Pilgrim from any damages. had 2 pair of jeans to be lightly starched---- they were at least medium! A bit stiff for my liking.
The process of dropping off was nice however my items were worse off once I picked them up. It was my first time using Pilgrims and I was disappointment. My dress with pleats doesn't not fit the same, there's permanent static like effect and the dress doesn't fall how it used to. My pants now have a white appearance where the seam is as well. I will be returning my dress for it to be corrected!
Clothes were not in the locker when they were suppose to be back. Due back on a Friday and needed them for the weekend but they didn't show up until Tuesday. Very disappointed in the service lately. Spoke to new manager and hope it improves. We've been customers for at least 10 years.
