The dry cleaner and launderer began as an inherited press shop as a means of settling a debt to the company’s namesake, Max I. Walker, in March of 1917. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to customer service has been passed down through five generations of Walkers.

Drive thru service, items ready in Less than 24 hours, checks in with me if they feel a color will bleed, super friendly and excellent prices. They also do hem work. I moved from that area and drive out of my way to drop off my items just to remain a loyal customer.
I recently visited the Max I Walker at 168th and Q Street and was impressed by the exceptional service. Camrion really stands out because of his wonderful and friendly personality. I had a question he wasn’t 100% sure of the answer and asked for assistance from Amanda who quickly jumped in to help with knowledgeable answers. I took my suede jacket in just to see if that is something they did. The crew there was very friendly and let me know that they send those products out of state for cleaning. I went out to my car to do some more research. Cameron went the extra mile and looked up more information for me and came out to my car to help me further even though I had let them know on the way out the door that that answer was enough for me at the moment. I highly value having a quality cleaning and laundry service like Max I. Walker in my neighborhood. Their drive-thru option makes dropping off and picking up clothes hassle-free, and the after-hours dropbox is incredibly convenient. The staff is always friendly and takes great care to secure my clothes in the back seat, even when my Jeep is open or loaded with shopping bags.
