My fiancé dropped off a shirt of to be cleaned. I was contacted shortly there after asking if I knew my fiancé , was the garment mine, etc. As odd as the questions were and how they even knew it was mine shirt, I still answered yes. I was told they knew it was my shirt because Courtesy Cleaners placed a micro chip in the garment to track it. Dear James, we are sincerely sorry for any confusion. We don't use any micro chips and never have to identify any garments. We place a small barcode, as many cleaners do now, usually behind the garment label on the garment. This barcode is saved under your name since we use names to identify customers when they drop off or pick up versus phone numbers.
