Brothers Cleaners was originally founded in Raleigh in 1916 by Emil Hilker, a German immigrant. Emil’s twin son’s, Jerry and Jim Hilker assumed ownership of the business after his retirement and ran it successfully until the mid 1970’s, when they went their separate business ways. At that point, the business was handed over to our current owners, twins Tom and Bob Hilker, the third generation to continue their family legacy. I used to like Brothers cleaners but frankly I am not sure now. I am not happy with the cleaning and they have lost many of my items or damaged them. Even if they compensated for the loss and damage, it still remains that, in many cases, I cannot even go buy the same item because either I bought it abroad or the item no longer is offered.

Very good experience. Quality work & one of the women employees, Evelyn, is the one we generally deal with. She is very professional, helpful, and cooperative. Very rare today since it seems like most peopke do not know how to deal w/the public. So far have had nothing but positive experiences.
