Five stars for this shop! They did a beautiful job on an alteration (sleeve shortening) and the price was very reasonable. I found them searching for same day alterations after realizing that the sleeves on my daughter's school concert dress were too long and it was beyond my skill to fix. I came in late Thursday hoping the alteration could be done by end of day on Friday. The tailor there explained that her main workdays were Tuesday and Thursday (so take note). I brought in 3 pairs of jeans that had holes of different diameters from golf ball to soft ball sizes. I didn’t want a job that had the “patched” look and instead a look of naturally going through normal wear and tear without the holes. The seamstress felt confident that the task was achievable. I believed her and proceeded with moving forward. To my pleasant surprise - the results were better than I expected! Thank you for an excellent job well done!!
I needed a jumpsuit hemmed. It had a ribbon type hem that I wanted to keep but wasn’t sure if it could be done. They did a lovely job and it looks like it originally did before hemming and the cost was reasonable.. The employees are always nice and friendly.
At first, I stoped at Rockridge Cleaners to try to get 5 pairs of pants hemmed and a zipper fixed for one of my sofa cushions. They didn’t have their tailor onsite that day, so they sent me down the street to Berkeley Royal Cleaners. Berkeley Royal Cleaner is always polite, and always completes cleaning and small alterations on time or sooner. I've been coming here for probably 2 or 3 years now. Parking is easy if you park 1 or 2 blocks away in the residential area. It's a nice, tree-lined neighborhood so the short walk from your car to the storefront is very pleasant.
